2005 Pumpkin Underwater Pumpkin Carving Contest |
 Nearly twenty divers joined us for an afternoon of fun and  carving on October 29, 2005. This was the third year for the company's annual event. While kids and non-diving family members enjoyed hot chocolate and carved pumpkins on the surface, divers worked their masterpieces underwater.  once again, the four oldest children served as judges. And  once again, Jamal Floate took first place for best all around carving. Of course, he is well-known by the kids as UNCLE JAY. I am pretty sure this contest is rigged. I refuse to be his dive buddy next year! Additional award are given for most  creative and best effort. Participants received prizes from PADI, DUI, Scubapro, XS Scuba, Mcnett, DAN, and many more. We are very pleased that this event has grown each year and we look forward to next year. |
