Sealion Cove |
| DURATION: 8 Hours Sealion Cove is located on Kruzof Island. Your trip begins  with an hour and half boat ride through Hayward Straights, Neva, Salisbury Sound. The Cove trail head is located in Kalinin Bay. The  trail is well maintained and is a six mile hike over to the long, lovely white sand beach that is Sealion Cove. The cove is located on the pacific ocean side of the island so the waves are always breaking. It is often utilized by the locals as a great place to surf or boogie board. It is wonderful for beach coming, hiking, photography, relaxing in the sand, or just simply taking in the view. Guest have lunch and a few hours to enjoy, then start the hour long return hike. As with any located on Kruzof Island, bear safety is your guides number one priority so please, everyone stay together as a group. Tour operates under a special use permit from the Tongass National Forest. |
